O Baghdad night, do you learn about my yearnings
Parting such a line of tears in my eye corners
Yearning, crying this soul o my inspirer
Ah when should we meet, o bartender's wine
So, the cup lost in travels since long time
And wine came to sell in a thieves' shop
This, the flame of vision, my soliloquy
Vented by soul in circles of hymns
A character in the universes I spread
Baghdad… Baghdad my covenant the heartbeat
Baghdad my love, my deep secret
But words unfold in my conducts
My heart longs to that light in skyline
Where the meeting, here come the moons into my skylines
Am affected by passion and grieves, o my hope
Had it not been for you, lovers would not been left a hope
Baghdad, your eyes my poems' rhyme
My eyes ever long for Al Zora' flowers
Baghdad I adore you, my person has inscribed on hillock
Grieving for a love that became a sheet of papers
The flute reminded "Khader Elias" of may pain
O sadness, Baghdad in my mind and my heart
I walk while I see my longing on the route driving me
One neighborhood after another and from one market to others
In the river's street I walk, o my heart desire
And love has shown up in my silence and bowing
I dated you while passion in heart I bear
And longing has shaken a sentiment in burning
On the riverside am waiting near the water
Love legend near my companion waves
