In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Our great people of Iraq…

From our reality we live we must raise and award you the order of glory and dignity and honor and that for having conferred upon the leadership character its merits and features incarnating thereby the genuine poplar mass actuality which will reflect in the great demonstration to be led by our great Iraqi people themselves spontaneously without politicization and in non-partisan attribute.

The state of anger and congestion the masses are experiencing due to the straitened living, service and shameful status the Iraqis are living through, and whereas the political regime and its nature resting on consensual grounds and factional allocation that contributed to a large extent in the government inability to perform its duties and led to the spread of financial and administrative corruption and tampering with public money, and aborting the project of raising the services which the people of Iraq have waited so long.

We understand that the government of Mr. Nouri al-Maliki is facing a popular situation pressing towards realizing the demands of protesters, and the picture of this situation appeared thru what Mr. Nouri al-Maliki  announced by calling to the Iraqi people not participate in these demonstrations while the Iraqi constitution has guaranteed the right to peaceful demonstration and expression of opinion for all Iraqi people, so it was our hope that such a call had not been declared, because it is a kind  of enclosing the fledgling democracy with barbed wires and storms of fear and intimidation.
The CNU emphasizes the legitimate demand of Iraqi people and calls on the government to work earnestly on them and respond to them and to stay away from giving off promises the Iraqi street has already become tired and bored of, and also it calls on the government to disclose all that could reassure the people about its seriousness in working for these licit demands which can be briefed in the following:
      
-    Dissolve the councils of districts and areas and to conduct municipal elections in preparation for provincial elections.
-    Disclose the corrupts and manipulators in public money and bring them to trial
-    Release innocent detainees and halt the processes of indiscriminate assaults
-    Rephrase the constitution to keep in line with Iraqi reality and preserve the right of citizen to democratic practices in all forms and boost the role of Iraq on Arab, regional and international levels.
-    Improve the services condition including electricity, drinking water, sewage systems and infrastructures related to the daily life of Iraqi citizens.
-    Enhance the pays of employees and pensioners
-    Create jobs for the unemployed
-    Pay due attention to orphans and widows segment and to allocate fixed monthly pays to help them overcome the hardships of living.
-    Involve all Iraqi governorates in Petrodollars
-    See to the reality of education and health.
-    Release freedom of expression, belief, and press and to criminalize attacks on media establishments and media-men.

May God safeguard Iraq and its people, support and grant it victory and fulfill its legitimate demands…
