A poem presented to the General Secretary of CINU, Dr. Nehru Mohammad Abdel Kareem, entitled (wake up o Iraqis)
Poet: Latif Al Ahbabi

Rejoice my Iraq of today and do not break away with us
Take up quarters at house you honorable people for parting humiliated us
Gentlemen who had maintained the religion
And the sayings of my masters did unite us
We hope the best from them
And the doctor is best for this home as he today promised us
The symbol of this homeland, Nehru
To maintain Iraq honestly we vowed to him
Highborn good descent
Husseinain and what an excellent masters of us
Nehru son of good-hearted people and joy of the wronged
Attending in the absence of oppression if ever awaked us
Their course so plain and open
Whoever accompanies them would never be disappointed
Their concern just to serve the poor and needy
Elected the others and saw what a pit they have driven us into
See how many thousands the unemployed
Who would come today to rescue us?
Wonder about heroes who once were headlines
And today they are grudgingly wanted by our state
Wake up Iraqis much of the campaigns for publicity
But Nehru has appeared and evidently will not disappoint us
Proceed and swell the votes
He the man our country sought after
Iraqis votes a trust of homeland
We wanted the honest to truly embrace us
Protect our Iraq soil and wealth
And not an outsider to lie to and cheat us
We endured hardships, injustice and fear
We seek safety and our comfort
Injustice has driven us to tragedy
All people disgusted it
We arrived at a junction if ever we rise up for own right
If this were the end and this our demise
