Hashim Al Fahd
.1.
Me strange
Yet chanting
O Suhad in our love
Despite suffering
Ah for a homeland
Torn
By terrorism
.2.
Whims played with him
And lures
On the strength of reasons
Ah to
People of attachment
And loyalty
Ah for us
As though we're strangers
.3.
My daughter Suhad
They killed affection
And amicability
With trial of opposites
And rendered people
To remnants
What should I say?
Against them
Brothers or strangers
.4.
O mother of glories
Be patient
Satire will not avail
They orphaned our children
And widowed women
For objects
They relish
They implanted hostility
And shut the doors
.5.
What should I say?
And who am I?
The Euphrates water
And the Tigris
Had become a mirage
And poison in the drink
.6.
So, for how long
My exile to disappear
O my homeland
My night so long
My body thin
And they blew up the Mihrab
.7.
By the will of masters
They deployed squads
Aimed to kill
And to pervert
They drowned the country
In hatred and havoc
O mother of glories
What has befallen us
Caused by hostilities
Ignorance and strangers
