Under the microscope, scandals of WikiLeaks documents?€¦ Iran and the extermination of Iraqi pilots!

Mohammad Yaseen
In this article and under our microscope we bring out today another document published on the controversial WikiLeaks site which adopted to uncover scandals of significant regimes and governments in the world and in my opinion that these diplomatic scandals, which are becoming more aggravated and continued growing, are the largest and most important during the 21st century, for WikiLeaks site is still existing despite the harassments, hunting and the issuance of American arrest warrant against its founder, yet it continues to publish thousands of sensitive documents, which are deemed extremely dangerous after the deployment of hundreds of thousands of those documents.

WikiLeaks site has published another classified document about the extermination by Iran of Iraqi pilots who had engaged in bombing Iranian targets during the war between the two countries that lasted for eight years and depleted their human, economic and moral resources, also ABC internet station site reported a brief paragraph of a cable in which American diplomats said that Iran is "waging a quiet and effective revenge campaign against the Iraqi pilots who bombed its territory" during the 1980s last century.

The confidential cable sent on 14 last December says that "many Iraqi pilots who carried out sorties during the Iran-Iraq war, have been listed on the execution table Iran has prepared and 180 of them had already been assassinated".

It is referred in the same document that the extermination processes to which Iraqi pilots were subjected did not draw much attention because they happened during the civil fighting Iraq had witnessed after years of its invasion.

The document also says that 182 Iraqi pilots were assassinated at the hands of Iranian agents, and these assassination campaigns urged 800 of them to leave Iraq as quoted in the stats of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense; however, the American station adds that the campaign launched against fighter pilots began in the neighborhood of Karrada in Baghdad to culminate during the month of Ramadan of the year 2005, which saw alone the deaths of 36 pilots in that neighborhood alone.

No doubt about the valid information cited in that document, where Iran has launched an organized campaign after the occupation of Iraq to exterminate the Iraqi military who participated in the eight-year war especially the pilots thereof, whereupon the whole of Iraq witnessed wide operations of physical extermination against the Iraqi pilots who participated in the Iraq-Iran war, and in many instances impressions were left near their corpses after assassination referring to reasons of killing, many remember what the pilots, who engaged in the bombing of Iranian Kharg Island, was exposed to, as scraps of papers were found on their bodies saying "this is the fate of each one who bombarded Kharg Island".

Additionally, this file was analyzed by some specialists and researchers to find that most large-scale bombing operations that took place throughout Iraq, especially the capital Baghdad, after the occupation were intended to cover up the organized assassination operations to which Iraqi officers or people of scientific and intellectual qualification have been so far subjected to, beside to what WikiLeaks indicated in this respect, as some entities and Iraqi independent research and studies centers have monitored an odd phenomenon that give greater sense to that assumption, where they monitored most of the assassinations aimed at Iraqi command officers in Iraqi military and military pilots who participated in the eight-year war whose presence coincided with the timing and place of those huge explosions that claimed hundreds of martyrs and wounded ! As usual in those criminal acts, the identities of victim martyrs remain obscure.

Upon checking that matter it was found that this case has become a phenomenon not simply isolated cases or coincidences occurred, which made it likely that some huge explosion operations that took place in Baghdad are only camouflage for the assassinations of those officers in a deliberated and systematic manner to be ascribed to terrorist operations that beset the country to cut by this way the tracking threads of that issue.

By going back to the stats of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and learn about the western media in this regard, whereas the Ministry statistics indicated that the number of command officers not the assistant ranks, who were killed after the occupation totaled (416) officer and the number of pilots (182) pilot until February 2006, and it is noteworthy that most of them are among those who participated in the Iraq-Iran war, however, the stats mention about the flight of (800) pilots and many times as much of military commanders out of Iraq, and it is certain that this statistic does not give the accurate real numbers completely due to chaos going on in the country and kidnapping operations and arrests against some of the military and pilots who were regarded as missing on the part of their relatives.

Also, western media confirmed at different periods that Iran is standing behind the assassinations of Iraqi military members and pilots and that the chaos that accompanied the US invasion has helped greatly the implementation of its agendas; however, the "Daily Telegraph" daily paper has reported that (dozens of Iraqi pilots who participated in the Iran-Iraq war were assassinated at the hands of killers friends to Iran or its hirelings).

That in addition to other reports, including the (United Press Agency) quoting its correspondent Pamela Hess, that (the Iranian government still maintains lists of at least 400 names for the purpose of their extermination, including military commanders and pilots), further, the Sunday Times newspaper published a detailed report in which it stated (that the systematic nature of assassinations points the fingers at officials in the Iraqi government loyal to Iran as an entity standing behind these assassinations).

Therefore, the circumstances of this case is clear without doubt that who stands behind the assassinations of Iraqi officers, military and pilots is the Iranian regime for several material reasons in front of which: revenge from the Iraqi officers who were involved in the Iraq-Iran war and had their rounds and onslaughts against the Iranian foe, also among the single most important goals of Iranian vision to pass the projects of Iraq division lies in utter undermining of Iraq and this will not realize but through draining its competences and scientific, intellectual and military faculties especially in the military and scientific side, so draining Iraq of its military capacities  will undermine its ability to cope with foreign avidities and keep it in permanent need for support from the others, as well as will keep the Iraqi state in a weak state and submissive to a covetous international and regional volition, in particular, that the Iraqis who participated in the eight-year war possess considerable experience in strategic military affairs, thus debilitating  Iraq and draining it from its potentials and capabilities is deemed one of the most important primary facilitators to pass the Iranian scheme in Iraq.
