While we celebrate with you the new academic year start, we cannot help but to extend the warmest congratulations and best wishes for a fruitful academic year full of successes on the path of building a unified Iraq, a healthy Iraq, and an Iraq that brings together under its wings its entire people from north to south.
Brother, Sisters
Students and youth, in any society, are the core of mobility and change but also the basic driver of transition process form one reality to a better one, and here we do not to remind you of your role that you surely place in front of your eyes for being deeply aware of the importance of science and learning to get equipped with the supplies of future building and the corroboration of national awareness; however, we would point out, fellow brothers and sisters, that your role and at this crucial stage in the history of Iraq, is the linchpin in the reconstruction of Iraq to what it was like of social cohesion, and brotherly association among its people; so, you are the balm for Iraq bleeding wound caused by several factors, and you are in place to cope with the plight of near past, effects of destruction and retrogression which have inflicted all walks of life perpetrated by all those who wanted instability for this country.
Iraq, my fellow brothers and sisters, and since the dawn of first civilizations on its own soil, has been exposed to many adversities and difficulties but, every time, it rises again like phoenix bird from the ashes to return more stronger than ever before, then, hold your hands together, everyone of us should pat the other's shoulder, and we have to roll up our sleeves and place Iraq and our future in front of our eyes and remain loyal to the rivers of Tigris and Euphrates, which we oftentimes drank form their waters and they constantly irrigated this good land which embraced, in its turn, between its layers the bodies of saints and prophets of Allah.
We should realize, fellow brothers and sisters, that our Iraq has a leader role of humanity no matter how our wounds abound, so let us treat our injuries and see the future fraught with hope and certainty that you’re the force of change.
And as the poet has once proclaimed:
When the people has the will to live the fate must surely respond
May God bless this good faithful gathering and we pray to Allah Almighty to direct all good people of ours for the good of Iraq and its people and to help you toward probity, prosperity and rightness.
Peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you
Your brother
Dr. Nahro Mohammad Abdul Karim
