Felicitation from CNU leadership to Iraqi people on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

On the advent of Eid Al-Adha we present our sincere heartfelt congratulation to all our Iraqi people and the peoples of our Arab and Islamic nation, asking God Almighty to render us among those who pursue the good of Iraq and the Iraqis.

On this blessed occasion we make our sincere appeals to all political powers participating in the political process to be a positive agents in completing the joy of our people, thru urgent formation of a national partnership government representative to all Iraqis and away from profit and loss calculations for this party or that; because individual loss for Iraq is a national gain and individual profit at the expense of Iraq is the very  great loss; however, the agreement struck by the political powers, and which has led to the election of parliament presidency, the president, and commissioned Mr. Nouri al-Maliki to form the next government will surly contribute to accelerating the political process and take it out from the lethargic state that has gone through over the eight months that followed the elections of the 27th last March, and while we hope that the results of the parliament session on November 11, 2010 which gave strong momentum to the train of constitutional institutions, we hope it will contribute also to bolstering a stable security.

As we, in the CNU, praise what was stated in the speech of Mr. Jalal Taliban, President of Iraq Republic, after his election as president of the Republic, we call also to overlook the past events and restart a new page under the title "tolerance is the base" but without condoning those who had their hands stained with the blood of our Iraqi people.

Spreading a spirit of trust and dealing with responsibility between the leaders of political process will ensure he creation of a sense among the Iraqi citizen that their options and facing up all odds, and going to polls have finally paid off thru a political system that places the high national interest in the foreground… we implore God to help all for the good of Iraq and Iraqis, He Who hears and answers the supplication.

Dr. Nahro Mohammad AbdulKarim
President of CNU
