In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The CINU is concerned about the outbreak of Cholera in a number of Iraq's governorates such as Maysan, and Babylon, at a time when the current government has not paid this issue what it deserves of due attention, instead it has sought to minimize the seriousness of the incident, and has obscured the news coming from these regions. For example, in Babylon it banned the media from visiting hospitals, such as Morgan and Hashimiyya hospitals to cover the crisis, as well as the employees of Babylon's health department were banned to give any information about the sick people who flocked to hospitals.
However, some health sources in both Babylon and Maysan governorates have accused the Ministry of Health for concealing the actual information on the number of deaths and injuries, and what rumored that there are 400 injuries and 20 deaths only is far below the actual statistic.
While the CINU alerts the people of Iraq that health situation in Iraq has deteriorated due to inefficient performance of the current government, and officials are busy with corruption issues, without giving due regard to what tribulations are befalling the Iraqi citizen daily; condemns this unwarrantable neglect, and the non-democratic way used in obscuring the facts that come in touch the lives of people, praying to God Almighty for a rapid recovery to all patients and sufferers.
