The spokesperson of CINU disclosed how the secretariat of CINU has found odd the intervention of the Prime Ministry to withdraw the draft law of journalist which was submitted by the press union to the parliament, where this same draft was subject to a series of bureaucratic processes manifested in sending it to the State Legislative Council which will consider it in future then to be sent back to the Committee of Culture and Information in the House of Representatives that will try to bring it before the Parliament to pass the law, and it is not known thereafter whether it will be passed or added to the list of laws that are not yet approved, though a long time has elapsed … but it is certain that the draft is still removed from the Council of Ministers meetings, this however, at a time the journalists are exposed daily to various hazards that target their lives.
And so, the secretariat of CINU asks the officials in the Council of Ministers and the State legislative Council to stop ignoring this act and to expedite its ratification, and it has to be sent back to the House of Representatives for approval, and thus, save the journalists from killing to which they are daily exposed, in spite of sacrifices they have offered on the altar of freedom of speech.
