Dialogue of the Secretary-General with Alarab Alyaum newspaper

The Sufism Secretary General of the Coalition of Iraqi National unity of Alkasnazaniya way , Dr. Nahro Alkasnazan , has asserted that the Alkasnazaniya way did not cover up Izzat Al-Douri who vanished from the eyes of occupation though he belongs to the Alkasnazaniya even before Baath party took over the power in Iraq, denying in the same vein the receipt of any aid by Alkasnazaniya way from Al-Douri himself or from his government.

He said in an interview in Amman, that the political process has born dead being an output of the sectarian Governing Council, adding that the new oil code is rejected by the Iraqi people.

The Iraqi Sufist called upon the resistance in Iraq to consolidate its political discourse and gather up its remains to be more effective against the Americans.

Here to follow the interview script:

Q: will you talk to us about the Coalition of  Iraqi National Unity and how it turned into a political party?

A: CINU was founded within the Iraqi internal political transformations and it includes all Iraqi segments of all ethnic, denominational and sectarian formations, and does not mean sectarian partisanship, but means what is present in the Iraqi mosaic composed of the Arab, Kurdish, Turkmen and Chaldoashour and hence the Coalition brings together all these mosaics and it saw light in 1990 but there were some inconveniences from political presentation due to one-party policy, but it should not be understood from this say that Iraq presently has changed for the better, but the situation has worsened because of sectarian and denominational repression which exceeded factional and political repression, based on that I would like to say that the current situation in Iraq is dearly outrageous, not pleasing a friend nor even satisfying an enemy, by reason that each community has formed its own militia while we are far above to form our own militia for we do not believe in the prevalence of violence, but feel that there should be a free and democratic voice in Iraq allows to all take part in the expression of opinion for we believe that Iraq is a trust in our charge and not restricted to a certain community.
We do not want, however, to have a sway of one group over another at the expense of Iraq, but all we wanted is to have equality in rights and duties to all, yet what is happening today is that Iraq has turned into captive of sectarian division, the very division that has been founded by the Governing Council, which was built on error, created Sectarianly and racially, because they started to allocate offices and ministries on this ground, and the question is: which democracy we are talking about? If there were an antecedent division even before running any elections and that resulted in the formation of invariants for the Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites, namely, they have become delimited in their geographic tract of their organization, willingly or unwillingly,  and that most parties which participated are either religious ideological parties or racial ideological Iraqi parties reliant on specific identity, either that you are Kurdish, Arab or Turkmen, and this in our view is a gross mistake in Iraq, because Iraq’s history is not so, Iraq is a hub to all and all sections had lived freely in Iraq, obtained their rights and defended their country with all their capacity, built and developed it to become a milestone in the history in all areas especially civilization, writing and legislation.

Alkasnazaniya and Izzat Ibrahim Al-Douri
Q: What Alkasnazaniya means, and is it true that Izzat Al-Douri was a member of it?

A: Alkasnazaniya is a nickname for our great grandfather Abdul Kareem Alkasnazan and our present Sheikh Mohammad Alkasnazan, a word means in Kurdish language “divine mystery” and it became a nickname for the Sheikh Abdul Kareem when he entered into forty successive reclusions until his family and acquaintances thought that he could have been dead or taken by a wild beast, because he entered a cave on the mountain and gave all his time to the worship of God, and after forty reclusions he came to his younger brother in dream to tell him that he is on the mountain and is waiting him to bring him back to the village, his brother took this vision for true after being repeated over and again in the same night and went to the mountain to bring the Sheikh back and subsequently was given this  designation.

As for Izzat Ibrahim Al-Douri, what can I say is that the Alkasnazaniya Way  is broad and Al-Douri before assuming the political offices was a follower of it and also his entire family were followers of the Alkasnazaniya Way where his uncle was one of this way guides, then Mr. Al-Douri was among the opposition and joined the Alkasnazaniya  Way and continued therein and swore allegiance to Sheikh Abdul Kareem by himself, and I would  confirm that the Way is a spiritual approach not a political program.

The political process
Q: As an Iraqi national coalition, how do you perceive the political process going now in Iraq?

A: the political process was born dead because the sectarian division which was established by the Governing Council, has completely terminated it, there is no politics in Iraq but only sectarianism, denominationalism which is coming to an end as we can see, because no doctrine could control another and the solution resides in setting up a democratic unified Iraq and not founding the Iraq state on denominational or sectarian or racial grounds because this simply means its inevitable division, and if we wanted a true Iraq we have to create a governing regime from outside the circle of sectarianism.

Q: what do you think of the security plan spillovers implemented by the US occupation and Iraqi army?

A: The security plan is also an output of sectarian division and therefore it will not bear fruit, it may look successful in certain areas and failure in others, in the sense that unless an Iraqi force has been established working for Iraq, no any security success will ever be scored.

Q: The Americans promised the Iraqis freedom and democracy but what we see since the occupation is blood, fire and torture how do you read that?

A: We, in this regard, place the whole responsibility on all the tokens representing the Iraqis before the Americans; they are 40 figures who were in the Governing Council and formed an iron shield around the Americans, democracy was really hailed but those 40 figures, and according to their sectarian affiliations, have not come to agree among themselves, so how can we unite Iraq as long as disparity crept into the ranks of the people’s representatives.

Q: How do you see the new oil code, which sparked a major uproar in Iraq?

A: I see that this code will not attain success because we find in Iraq, and since the birth of the current political map that the son of Basra supports the son of Sulaymaniyah, and the son of Najaf and Erbil's, also the treasures of Iraq are entangled together which means that Iraqis are, street and people, are rejecting the division of their oil wealth but this appeals to politicians only just because their share will be much bigger.

American –Iraqi readings
Q: How do read the repercussions of American situation in Iraq and the repercussions of Iraqi situation in America?

A: America in Iraq has become a reality, and American presence in Iraq is not on the Iraqi agenda, America came to Iraq and implemented a rule in Iraq called "liberation of Iraq" which did not hit success due to difference among political blocs themselves which came into being without offering something for Iraq other than they started to divide the treasures of Iraq, in other words, these blocs have hindered the flow of things for them and the Americans together, and thus it became unclear to all; as for the Iraqi situation in America, it acquired importance in the American political channels and the American arena is witnessing a sort of bidding between both democratic and republic parties and every one claims its ability to solve he problem of Iraq while Iraq is sinking in blood and arms have become accessible to all, and as such a regional disaster will ensue in the event of a sudden US withdrawal?

Q: How did Al Qaeda entered Iraq and how Iraqis accepted it?

A: Al Qaeda entered Iraq along with the Salafist organizations before US invasion of Iraq, it was dormant cells not under the name of Al Qaeda but rather other labels like Jund al-Islam, Ansar al-Islam and Ansar al-Sunnah, then these names started to change and there were about five thousand people in western Iraq affiliated to Al Qaeda organization known to Iraqi security apparatuses; however, Sunni scholars made it clear to the late president Saddam Hussein that they could be utilized against possible confrontation with the US, thereby they cheated the late president Saddam Hussein, and once the regime had changed in Iraq till they started moving and al-Zarqawi came, who was intelligent and could control the intelligence file with the help of some religious scholars who were holding some platforms in the western Iraq; but now, the people of Iraqi tribes have started to realize that al-Qaeda is a foreign organization does not wok for Iraq and thus al-Qaeda followers have become rejected and ostracized by the Iraqi people, and war was waged against them from al-Qaem to Baghdad borders and is still widening day after day, and surely there are forces benefiting from this war.

Q: Is Iraq on its way to split?

A: Division is under way, and I personally find it odd when they say that Iraq is unified when we have Shiite Iraq, Sunni Iraq and Kurdish Iraq each with its delineated borders, accordingly I say that the present Iraq is in need of liberation.

We call upon all Iraqi people to be one hand, understand the plot and its size against Iraq, because, in case it succeeded it will be a woe on the whole region, as we also call upon the regional countries and good forces in the world to work hard to stop the bloodshed in Iraq.

Q: Some accuse you that you cover up Izzat Al-Douri, is this true?

A These are pure accusations and fabrications repulsed which it rejected by it is sources  because the Alkasnazaniya Way and from its inception did not rely on any government sustenance whether it was personal from Al-Douri or from the government itself, subsequently I assure that Al-Douri never had offered any support to the Way and we have never covered him up.

I said earlier that Mr. Al-Douri is a member of Alkasnazaniya  Way but he did not turn to us and we do not know his whereabouts, as we have no shelters or secret basements to hide or cover somebody up therein.

Q: What about the Iraqi resistance?

A: The resistance must declare a unified and clear political discourse, and what we notice is that the resistance is the work of specters while it is known universally that if occupation were resisted by some section of people the matter must accompanied with a specific political discourse and specific agenda that would force the occupant ultimately to ask for mutual understanding, but what goes on in Iraq is jus a mess "resistance", whereas we hear from time to time a faction or two announcing their desire to negotiate with the Americans followed by another faction rejecting this call and so forth.

It is more preferable to gather up the fragments of resistance, unify its vision and rhetoric to get the other party learn with whom it should sit in order to reach a dialogue leading to a way out of the current crisis.
